| I was honored to photograph publicity stills for a private screening in NYC this week for the Documentary film below - (directed by a multiple award winning cinematographer)This film took 23 years to document as it tells the struggles of a family in Laous during war in the 60's and follows them to the United States - the big dreams of coming to America and the realities that confront them once they arrive. It's a breathtaking, emotional story, so real so sad. i didn't see the film the night of the screening but instead two days later at the IFC center in NY which was followed by QA with the director and the son in the story who also co directed the film.
The screening event was a good time with people in the industry, celebs, those who created the film and those in the film. The father in the movie was also at the screening which no one knew until after the film. Apparently, everyone gasped as he stood in the audience, and you'll see why if you check out the film which is now playing at the IFC Center in NYC this weekend. It's also just been shortlisted for an Oscar. Check out the trailor sorry for not posting pics - don't want to upset the well known. |

| What a fantastic awesome day in NYC! Julia and Gregory are getting married next year in NYC and decided to have their engagement photos taken in the Fall - and why not the colors are spectacular as you will see below. The two of them are incredibly beautiful and were so easy and natural with the camera and in this amazing setting. We can't wait to see them again in the Spring! |

| yes... sand in the city and it's November |

| great to wear layers and get all the different looks - from warm beachy to fall and cozy |

| some of my favorites! |

| takes me to another time - i love |

| The first day in November was amazing here with temps nearly 70 degrees - absolutely stunning. Jessica & Aaron are a dream and so is their family - we love them! They had us feeling like friends/ family with their generosity, kindness and warmth. Everyone was in such great spirits we couldn't have asked for more. It's always great to work with a couple on their wedding day after having photographed their engagement session - feels like photographing a friend's wedding - very cool! Everyone Rocked - Thanks!!!!

| Seeing each other for the first time that day! |

| it's annoying how some venues will look at me funny when I want to shoot pictures off premises - how could I not - this location was stunning and I had to take advantage. Much better then hedges and a fountain anyday! more charm. |

| what can i say - i love partial body shots! |

| Jessica & Scott had a beautiful wedding filled with lots of love, a large family and good times!
