|Hi Iím Diana!
Iím originally from Santa Barbara, CA where I think is the most gorgeous place to live and attend school. I received my BA in commercial advertising from the Brooks Institute of Photography in 2000. During my education, I landed jaw dropping 4 month long internships in NYC photo assisting in high end fashion and portraiture for photographers Annie Leibovitz and Arthur Elgort and lucky enough to have 3 weeks at Vanity Fair magazine witnessing the happenings and makings of a fashion spread and advertisement Ė it was awesome! Upon graduation, my internship experience landed me the coolest 2 year full time job with fashion photographer Arthur Elgort, working on magazine shoots for all the Vogue magazines such as French, Spanish, and Italian Ė I learned a lot!
Aside from the creativity of school it was also quite technical, I took a one on one full semester course with a printing genius to learn vintage printing in the dark room, which included platinum, cyanotype and palladium master printing. I developed my own film, and processed and printed both color and black and white. The dark room was my favorite place to be watching an image appear on paper. The advantages of a strong traditional photo background proved useful when making the switch to digital a few years ago.
Di Bezi photography became a full time business in 2006, my work can be described as editorial lifestyle Ė itís always fun, fresh and happy, especially clean no fuss and easy going. On your wedding day the only time I give direction is during the portrait part of the day Ė art direction is a must here as I work to establish the most flattering light and attractive setting. I set up situations that are comfortable, natural and spontaneous. With your family Iíll encourage interaction among them to create a sense of ease, which allows their personality to shine. The remainder of the day is filled with wonderful candids, stills of details and overall scene.
My boyfriend Jeff of 17 years shoots along side me, we actually met while attending college in Santa Barbara! Weíre both natives of California and moved to NYC in 2000 to embark on our photo careers. Jeff too has a strong background in fashion, portraiture and advertising having photo assisted and traveled with iconic photographer Bruce Weber for 10 years and continues working along side him when not shooting with me.
Boy the fun stories he could tell, if you meet him just ask!
Together we are a seamless team and prove to be a fun couple to have around, at least thatís what our clients say. Our work has been featured on many stylish blogs and printed in the glossies nationally and regionally.

|What gets me excited!
What I love most is an outdoor wedding! shooting under a blue sky with warmth and sunshine all around.
Photographing couples and families outside brings out the best in everyone's personality - I love finding the right light and location and making people feel great. Being creative and getting unexpected shots is really exciting
I love the most teeny tiny wedding I ever shot in Brooklyn - a total of 6 including the couple - felt like I was hanging out with a few friends for the afternoon stopping here and there taking snaps and capturing their intimate celebration. Carolyn & Matthew
When my clients and I click magic happens, I feel at the end of the day we are such good friends
When clients are thrilled with the images captured - totally makes my day!
When my clients call me a couple years later to document the arrival of their baby and again the following year to capture them growing.
