|I'm watching this family grow and it's been so much fun.
This sweet family photography session was shot on the Upper East Side in a small neighborhood quiet park on a very cold day but you'd never know with this awesome smiles.
|Another amazing fun lifestyle family photography shoot in Brooklyn, it's fresh and super casual my favorite, like hanging out with friends
thanks again Anne-Lise, Abe, Ryan and Oscar for another incredible day
always a treat.
|Happy New Year!!!!
My goodness i can't believe it's 2015 sounds so futuristic though it's now. I saw the holidays as fast approaching and before I knew it, it was upon me. Sadly, it didinít feel very festive as work, wrapping up 2014 and future plans for Di Bezi Photography kept my mind pre occupied. Mostly the holidays were spent at our place in the country, and I canít complain, itís peaceful, serene and just gorgeous. Iím surrounded by evergreens on all four sides of the house and deer often hang out on the property, in fact 14 just the other day, and last week a hawk perched on our balcony and just sat still for quite a while, it gave me a chance to study him a bit before he took off, so awesome as Iíd never seen one up close. We also have very large black turkeys, families of them that like to hang out by the stream and search for food among the diverse landscape. As you can tell we keep pretty entertained. Jeff and I were also able to catch up on house projects, and lucky for me I live with a very handy man, the kind of man that can fix and build anything. If I ask.. Can you build me a custom closet or a custom spice rack he does it, or honeyÖ. Can you gut out the old bathroom and make me a new one? Yes, heís done that too. I'm a lucky girl indeed.
In addition to photography in the months leading up to the holidays, I obtained a food license and food handlerís certificate so that I can begin making and baking some of my food at the local farmerís market when it warms up, so thatís pretty exciting. My clients know how much I love to spend time in the kitchen, at least when I have free time.
But I digressÖ.
It's going to be a different kind of year here at Di Bezi as I turn to embrace more editorial, lifestyle family photography and taking just a limited number of weddings per year. Last year I discovered that I really love shooting families and kids, itís such a treat, and after a few years of building up my clientele with many returns, I can say itís been quite touching and fulfilling. Iím actually watching my clientsí children grow from newborns, to baby, to the excitable 2 year olds, and thenÖ they have a second. Holy goodness, and how cool that they want me to share and document the growing family.
Iíll also continue to shoot couples, fashion week and other lifestyle work and hopefully introduce food client related work in the mix.
So thatís my news thus far and if you or someone you know wants a family good time in front of my lens please say hello.
Much love and look forward to a curious 2015. Have a good one!
|Lately I've had early morning weekday sessions, and I've really enjoyed them. It's great to have that kind of flexibility as weekends can get pretty busy not only for my studio but the clients who may want the weekends for downtime or other activity. This awesome family photography session in Brooklyn began at 8:30 am on a weekday before work and still it's so fresh and lively, and a little romp to start the day never hurts.|
|I love a fall shoot when the kids get all layered up in knit hats and long scarves. This stylish lifestyle family photography shoot happened on a very crisp, sunny weekday morning in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The energy electric as people hurried their kids to school and adults walking fast to work and to the subway. Another great way to start the day|
