Production - Behind the Scenes - High End Fashion Events NYC

01 • 20 • 12     •     Fashion

I get to shoot a lot of fun events throughout the year - mostly in high end fashion which include fashion week, private dinners, fashion awards, designer launches, etc etc.. My job is cool and always allows me full access behind the scenes into production - I get to walk around with my camera and document every detail, design and hard work that goes into the events - such as stage set, lighting, furniture that was made, food and the people in the space.
I typically don't show pics of people for privacy reasons but below is a sample.

Coming up next month is fashion week

In the Kitchen

Oooooohhhhhh! Raw Cashew Dreamcake with fresh raspberries.
Brides, you won't feel guilty eating this - this is pure delight - I was dancing in the kitchen watching this all come together. for months I have been wanting to try this but didn't have the right cake pan and hadn't gone out to get one. So, I still don't have the pan and because no baking required I layered it in my large soup bowl. looks like a whoopie cookie at 6 inches across but sure taste much better. So easy to make and loved taking the pics! It's so delicious you'll just have to try for yourself. I soaked the cashews overnight and they got very soft - so when I blended them, the nuts became a creamy dream.
below is link to recipe from one of my favorite whole natural food blogs - all ingredients super healthy -

My New Roots

Photo and styling by Di Bezi

I couldn't resist trying another take on this cake using the same recipe as linked above but swapping out the raspberry and adding banana with a little coconut milk - DIVINE.. so many toppings to choose from. I used coconut flakes but cocoa powder would be good too.
can you believe there is no dairy and looks this creamy and no baking!!!!!

Baby Miles - Brooklyn 1.11.2012

Wow!!! I'm so loving these images of Miles only two months old and the baby of clients of mine - Kat & Tom - who's wedding I photographed 5 years ago and who have also become friends - been to a few of their parties but for now it's quiet time and a new focus. Today was the first time meeting Miles - such a squishy sweet face - all I wanted to do was nibble his toes but instead I photographed some incredible pics - and then played with his toes.
so fun hanging out with Kat and their new baby - I just adore this little guy!

Looking Back - Moving Forward

01 • 04 • 12     •     Personal

2011 was a vibrant year for me personally - the things I've learned has enriched my life and gives pleasure to those around me and that makes me real happy. I've come along way in the kitchen cooking fantastic, healthy delicious dishes that are so inspiring that I've decide to take gourmet classes in NYC to further my enthusiasm.
Last year we adopted a Boxer Leah who was rescued from a puppy mill in the South - we've had her almost a year now and I can't say enough about how loving and spirited she is despite her hapless past - she's playful and smiles all the time - life is good.
Jeff and I finally got many projects accomplished on the country house most of them in just the past 3 weeks - that for years we've wanted to do and YEH!!!! they are done and almost done - if that makes sense.
Many of my brides from last year, year before and friends too are pregnant or have had babies!! I can't get over how many - I'm gearing up for the portraits up ahead - could be a few.
Traveled to Santa Barbara and Florida both for work and pleasure but honestly having a business keeps me pretty busy and grounded - I always promise myself weekend getaways but I will admit when I can - the only place I want to go is my country digs - it's spacious, peaceful, and I have a hammock to boot!!!!
Looking forward to the year ahead!! I've had wonderful clients throughout my career - a few are friends today and the couples I've booked thus far are totally my style.

Happy New Year !!!!

Large, Beautiful and Modern Wall Print!!!

12 • 28 • 11     •     wall prints

I love large wall prints and have quite a few I showcase of couples in my studio - be it weddings, engagements or other.
Such a great way to illustrate the two of you in a modern presentation - this print is 20x30 and images are 10x15.

I have these prints leaning against the wall on a wood beam. I also have them in wood frames with out the glass - so no glare!

please contact studio if you had a session with me and are interested in one for yourself or as a gift for family.

The below is a gift from my client's Montauk beach wedding which was given to her parents for Christmas - groom had one made for his. Clever gift that highlights Lori & Michael's wedding at a quick glance.
The print is 16x20. Center image is 10x8 and surrounding images 4x5. Who doesn't love a beautiful print to hang on the wall!!!
